IBM Consulting collaborated with PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (PETRONAS Carigali), through its flagship TriCipta AI, and Tridiagonal.AI Pvt. Ltd (T.AI) to take a major step forward in strengthening the Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities and enhancing competitive advantage across PETRONAS Carigali’s operations.

The collaboration focuses on a series of strategic AI-driven transformation initiatives across PETRONAS Carigali’s operations and asset management. The AI-powered solutions will be co-developed with PETRONAS Carigali, alongside T.AI as the Domain Engineering partner and IBM Consulting as the AI and technology partner.

Leveraging IBM Enterprise Advantage as the intelligent orchestration layer, features like the IBM Maximo and IBM Garage as an implementation framework, will enable insights to be translated into real, enterprise-wide impact.

By scaling and operationalizing AI into day-to-day operations, PETRONAS Carigali can accelerate maintenance decisions, optimize resource allocation, improve asset performance, and enable more informed, data-driven outcomes.

It is unlocked by a combination of AI agents, applications, and digital assistants to automate, coordinate, and optimize complex operational workflows at scale.

The collaboration between PETRONAS Carigali and IBM is a clear testament to how partnerships deliver real impact—boosting productivity, sustainability, and long-term competitiveness.
