Country General Manager

Truong Nguyen Phat assumed the role of Country General Manager & Technology Leader for IBM Vietnam in November 2024, leading the company's overall business in one of Southeast Asia's most dynamic digital economies - spanning sales, technology, services and client success.

With nearly three decades of experience in the IT industry, Phat has built his career at the intersection of enterprise infrastructure, digital business and large-scale client transformation.

Prior to joining IBM, he held senior management positions at DTS Corporation and Cisco Vietnam, where he gained deep expertise in enterprise sales leadership, channel development and complex solution delivery.

Phat joined IBM in 2013 and has assumed various senior leadership roles in Systems Hardware, Digital Business. Most recently he served as North Squad Leader where he focused on building trust and advising clients in different industries on technology strategies aligned to their business needs before being entrusted with overall stewardship of IBM Vietnam.

This breadth of experience has shaped his end-to-end view of how technology decisions translate into business outcomes. He is known as a consultative leader, a builder of high-performing local teams, and a trusted partner to clients navigating complex modernization journeys.
