Jakarta, May 6 2026 - Cirebon Energi Prasarana (CEPR), one of West Java’s leading independent power producers, has taken a major step forward in strengthening its safety culture and enhancing operational reliability with the implementation of IBM Maximo.

CEPR is utilizing Maximo’s comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment capabilities, which include isolation management, safety plans, and fully digital Permit to Work (PTW) processes (the authorized documents used in industrial environments), to support automated asset management and safety compliance at its plant. 

The implementation of IBM Maximo, delivered by Cohesive, a Bentley Systems company and an IBM business partner, makes CEPR one of the first power plants in Indonesia to operate a fully integrated, ‘digital first’ PTW and isolation management system at scale, marking a significant milestone in modernizing power plant operations in the region. 

IBM Maximo has already proven its value during CEPR’s recent 47-day overhaul of its 1,000 MW ultra supercritical power unit. The outage required the coordination of thousands of work activities, the processing of large volumes of safety-critical permits, and the management of hundreds of contractors under tight operational timelines. The digital workflows and safety control capabilities within Maximo played a key role in ensuring the overhaul was completed safely and on schedule.
