IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced the successful completion of a payroll modernisation for SingHealth, Singapore's leading and largest public healthcare group. Led by IBM Consulting, the project migrated SingHealth’s payroll and custom applications from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA on a Private RISE model.

Singapore, 18 August 2026 – IBM (NYSE: IBM) and the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) are planning to establish the Quantum-Safe Centre, targeted for launch by the end of 2026, as a dedicated hub to accelerate Singapore’s transition to quantum-safe cybersecurity. The Centre will help organisations assess risks, adopt new security approaches and develop the talent needed for the post-quantum era.

Organizations across ASEAN faced an average data breach cost of US$4.12 million in 2026, the highest level recorded, according to IBM’s 2026 Cost of a Data Breach Report. The findings highlight growing operational and financial pressure as attackers increasingly use AI-enabled tactics and exploit complex digital environments. Nearly three in ten ASEAN organizations that experienced malicious breaches reported the attacks were AI-generated.
