Hans Dekkers is General Manager of IBM Asia Pacific, responsible for its strategy and operations across the region. In this role, he is a trusted partner to clients in accelerating business transformation and unlocking value from hybrid cloud, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing.
Hans has spent two decades at IBM as a global technology executive leading large-scale business transformation and growth initiatives across multiple countries and businesses in Asia Pacific and Europe. He is passionate about solving complex challenges at the intersection of business and technology, helping organizations reinvent themselves, and creating long-term value in a rapidly-changing world.
Having lived and worked across Asia Pacific, Greater China, Europe, and North America, Hans brings an international perspective to his leadership and a deep respect for regional diversity and cultures. He believes in creating conditions where talented people can step forward with confidence, apply their expertise, and bring the best of IBM to clients. He thrives on building high-performance teams and developing the next generation of leaders.
Hans holds a BAe in Computer Science and Information Management, and an MSc in International Business and General Management.
