Vice President of Finance and Operations, IBM Asia Pacific and China

Merlyn Tan is currently the Vice President, Finance and Operations for IBM Asia Pacific and China, located in Singapore. Merlyn is responsible to lead the integrated APAC Finance & Enterprise Operations organization to support the strategy and execution of APAC Technology Sales business while driving prioritization and efficiency in the new Finance & Enterprise Operations organization.

Prior to this, Merlyn was the Chief Financial Officer for IBM APAC Software and the Vice President for IBM Enterprise Operations for APAC, partnering with the APAC Technology business leadership and delivering both revenue and profit growth for APAC Software.

Merlyn joined IBM in Beijing, China and has held various finance leadership positions in IBM Greater China Group including Controller for IBM Greater China Group and Chief Financial Officer for IBM China. She also has deep services experience having held the positions of Controller of Consulting Services, IBM Asia Pacific, based in Tokyo, Japan and Chief Financial Officer for IBM Asia Pacific Global Technology Services in Singapore before the spin-off from IBM.

Merlyn has a Bachelor of Accountancy from National University of Singapore and is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdom and has more than 30 years of audit, finance and operations experience.
